Welcome to the official First Fruits Design Company online store!  We're glad you've made it!  First Fruits Design Company is owned and operated by Johnny and Heather Carr in Southeast Arizona.  They previously owned Sweet and Wild Farms in the state of Washington where they made soy candles.  Life's journey lead them to move to the beautiful Sonoran Desert, but not without the desire to be in business for themselves, pouring as much care and quality into their craft as possible.  Not wanting to be limited by the branding of their previous business, Johnny and Heather established First Fruits Design Company in early 2022.  

Since they moved, Johnny developed an endearing relationship with woodcraft.  He found not only the sense of pride in making high quality pieces of furniture and home goods, but also a sense of comfort.  He finds woodworking as therapeutic "similar to swapping war stories with an old friend."

Finding new inspiration in all the natural beauty and colors of the Great Southwest, Heather has taken to setting the bar high on the candle side of the business.  She carefully crafts each candle vessel with all the love and enthusiasm as can be placed into it.

Together, this power couple work together on all aspects of creating, whether in the wood shop or the candle studio.  They seek to "Create, Grow, and Inspire" and do so by sharing their story and craft on their YouTube Channel.

They hope one day to be able to expand their business to teach classes to those seeking to simply learn a new craft or start their own businesses, free of charge to the public.
